As a UX/UI Designer at Polyteia, your current assignment is to design an intuitive and user-friendly no-code Workflow Builder specifically for government use. In governmental operations, numerous workflows are often manual, unstructured, and prone to human error. The workflow builder will help organisations automate and streamline their processes by creating, managing, and executing workflows.
To give you context:
A state government authority would like to digitize approval workflows with this workflow builder for a grant application (appox. €10m) process of a municipality to the state authorities for schools to expand a school building for full day care. In this scenario, the city or municipality submits an application form that public servants in the state authority have to:
1 Sort the case and assign the right public servant
2 The public servant reviews and either approve or declines
3 The public servants drafts a approval/decline response to the municipality
4 The response is sent via email to the applicant municipality
Some of the Key Features
% Visual Creation: Allows users to design workflows using a drag-and-drop interface, making it easy to map out processes visually
% Task Assignment: allow user to assigns tasks to the appropriate team members
% Conditional Logic: Sets up if-then conditions to route tasks and data based on specific criteria, ensuring the right actions are taken at the right time.
Deliverables

If a suitable position opens up again, we would be happy to hear from you and consider your application.

Hi Juan,
Thanks so much for sending the completed take-home challenge.
We really appreciate you taking the time to work on the case study and want to share feedback.
We were looking for a higher level of engagement and 'eye for detail' from the graphics. An advanced understanding of design prinicples that is very much needed for this role was not apparent too.
Despite the end-result being a good general standard, your work missed a few of the key elements we were hoping to see. In light of this feedback unfortunately we won't be moving forward with your application for the Senior Graphic Designer role at this time.We wanted to say thank you for your time and efforts (we really do appreciate you taking the time) and wish you the best of luck in your job search. We hope you find a role that's a perfect fit for you. While your skills and potential are evident, we felt that a candidate with more experience in these specialized areas would be a closer match for our current needs.Thank you very much again for your time and effort, and we wish you the best in your next steps.

Getting hired is difficult, and expectations for designers and professionals across all creative fields have grown to be unrealistic.
These are some of the case studies I got asked to present through my job search.
